Description
Description
The Pelikan Souveran M600 SE Art Collection Glauco Cambon Fountain Pen is a special edition of the Pelikan Souveran M600 fountain pen, designed as part of their Art Collection. The intricately designed barrel of this Special Edition is manufactured using the sophisticated "Aurora" process. The writing instrument brings the art of an old Pelikan advertising poster to life. The final multiple polishing of the barrel brings out the iconic pen’s high gloss shine. The cap, front section, and piston grip of this elegant piston-filling fountain pen are made of high-quality resin with self-polishing properties. The 14-karat two-tone gold nib glides smoothly and expressively across the paper. The golden decorative elements, as well as the characteristic double rings and the Pelikan-typical beak-shaped clip, are adorned with 24-karat gold. The smooth operating piston mechanism allows you to fill this pen with bottled ink. These special edition Souverän pens are presented in a beautiful Pelikan gift box.
Pelikan is a German manufacturing company known for its high-quality writing instruments, stationery, and art supplies. The company was founded in 1838 by Carl Hornemann in Hanover, Germany. Pelikan is well known for their regularly released limited edition fountain pens in addition to their standard line-up. There have been many limited edition releases over the years and I thought that it might be interesting to look back at what is considered to be the very first of these modern releases from Pelikan. Which model launched such a distinguished tradition of releases? The answer is none other than the highly sought after M800 transparent green demonstrator. Affectionately referred to as the “Green Ocean,” it is the predecessor to the highly successful M800 Blue Ocean released as a run of 5000 fountain pens in 1993. The confusion surrounding the transparent green release often stems from the fact that none of these M800s are identifiable as limited editions as the pens themselves are not numbered.
