• Because of the scarcity of dyes, this colour, a symbol of luxury but also of mystery, was used by the Emperor and his family under the Roman Empire and then by the various royalties. King Louis XIV, under whom Jacques Herbin was founded, used it for his clothes during certain periods of his life.
• This fresh and elegant colour is currently very popular, particularly in decoration and design. Jacques Herbin is the oldest name in pen inks in the world. "The Jewel of Inks" was created in Paris in 1670. Herbin uses all natural dyes in their fountain pen inks.
• They are mainly composed of water, humectant to limit drying at the level of the pen and preservative to preserve their qualities over time.
• This natural composition is reflected in the very neutral pH of the inks.
• The dyes used have been specially selected to offer the richest color range on the market. Finally these inks are finely filtered so as not to clog the pens.
• If you use this ink with a piston pen, please rinse the pen thoroughly before refilling. Before refilling the pen, shake the ink well so that the ink particles are released from the base and mix evenly with the ink.
